Andrew Rally is a young and sucessful television actor who comes to New York to play Hamlet in Central Park, moving into an apartment which once belonged to John Barrymore. There are some problems though. His TV series has been cancelled, his girlfriend is clinging to her virginity with conviction, and he has no desire to play Hamlet. An impromptu seance summons the ghost of Barrymore, costumed as Hamlet and somewhat tipsy, and Andrew’s life is no longer his own.
