Melyssa has been a resident of Tracy, California for 17 years.
Melyssa joined Visa as a Point of Sale Representative in 1991 after having worked seven years at Citibank managing an aspect of their credit card portfolio. She has worked in-branch at Wells Fargo and continues to highlight ways to make financial education a priority for audiences of all ages. Currently, she works as a Senior Business Leader of Global Credit Risk Products at Visa Inc.; Melyssa is dedicated to the exploration, development, and management of solutions to support customer profitability. In this role, her responsibilities include an emphasis on loss prevention and mitigation advising financial institutions on industry best practices.
Born in Bronx New York, Melyssa was raised by a family focused on community involvement. Married to a performing artist, Melyssa understands how performing arts improve humanity and strives to create access and opportunity for performing artists. Whether focused on providing scholarships or productions, she continues to identify ways to move the business side of the arts forward to improve and enhance our community.
She has been happily married to Peter for 20 years and raised their three children, 16-year old Miles who attends Kimball High School, 19-year old Symone who is an aspiring interior designer at the Academy of Art University; and 24-year old Paul who works as a Medic for the Air Force is now married to Maria who is active duty Air Force. Paul and Maria live in Colorado Springs with our first grandson, Kai.
