Mike Seierup has lived in Tracy for 12 years, coming from the San Leandro/Castro Valley area. He is very proficient in Excel, both in financial and numerical calculations. He worked for Pacific Bell for 29 years and WorldCom for 5 years, both in the Bay Area, then TelePacific Communications in Los Angeles for another five years, actually residing in LA for 18 months, and then telecommuting from home for the remainder of the time. Two of those years at Pacific Bell, he was the Expense Budget Coordinator for 982 employees overseeing their yearly wages, annual bonus and expenses. For 20 years of his career in the Telecommunications Industry, he was a Facility Planner responsible for the Construction Budget of $30M to $50M of communications equipment to be installed yearly. All items were tracked and calculated via Excel spreadsheets.
Mike looks forward to the responsibilities of Treasurer for TPAF. He will utilize his extensive knowledge to track and continually improve the financial progress of the Foundation.
Mike is retired after 40 years in the Telecommunications Industry, and is happily married to his wife, Marilyn, for 42 years. They both now work out of their home, Marilyn operating an Independent Contractor Secretarial Service, and Mike doing various other things, performing totally different types of work on numerous computers, but they manage to peacefully share an office.
Mike and Marilyn have a married son, Erik, a daughter-in-law, Monica, two beautiful granddaughters, Ariana and Trinity, and a new grandson, Bryce. They are also expecting a new grandchild this summer, from their daughter Krista, who lives in Stockton with her boyfriend, Lance.
