Peter is a native Californian born in Oakland and raised in San Mateo, California. He began on stage early participating in church programs at the age of 3. In elementary school he joined the band as a drummer and enjoyed being part of the marching band. Graduating from high school, Peter attended the College of San Mateo where he began to identify a passion for liberal arts and cultural studies. He was also a member of the International Student Union, promoting multicultural diversity through performing arts and coordination of Rainbow Coalition events.
In 1984, Peter moved to Washington and attended the Columbia School of Broadcasting further sharpening his communication skills and earning his certificate in radio and television announcing from the National School of Broadcasting in 1989. He continued his career at a major market radio station studying national radio demographics and later became the voice of Uncle Tex Flintstone. His accomplishments included promoting concerts and appearances for local bands and major artists such as Living Color, Gene Simmons (of KISS) and the Queen of Rock, Lita Ford. He gained industry recognition when he co-authored a proposal for a regional campaign called Rock Against Drugs.
He has specialized in the fields of communication and multicultural diversity for more than 20 years. A natural interest in history and genealogy heightened his awareness of the Black West, Blacks in film, Native American history, Greek Mythology, African and Middle East civilization. He has been in various theatrical productions. Currently, Peter is a professional storyteller and entrepreneur for Jali Enterprises captivating audiences through the oral tradition medium of story.
