CRITERIA: Grades 9 through 12. Reside within the boundaries of the Tracy Unified School District and Mountain House. Audition with no musical accompaniment at one of the two taping session dates. Submit a completed and signed Star Quest application and parent permission form available at the audition or download here:

The Tracy Performing Arts Foundation is pleased to present a musical scholarship program, called Encore! This scholarship program will give musicians an opportunity to participate in a process where their ability, accomplishment level, and potential are reviewed and judged by professional musicians. One participant will receive a full scholarship to La Honda Music Camp! Juried auditions are open to all Tracy area instrumentalists who are age 19 and under. Don’t miss it! Deadline for applications and permission forms is due April 17.

Scholarship application deadline is Friday, January 23, 2009.

SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS
1. Applicant must be a resident of the Greater Tracy Unified School District geographical area.
2. Applicants must be high school juniors and seniors or grade level equivalent.
3. Applicant must submit school transcripts with picture.
4. Applicant must submit two letters of recommendations from non-relatives who know of Applicants desire, training, and experience in producing and directing performances; film and video preferred.
5. Applicant should submit reference and contact information to confirm past experience and training.

PERMISSIBLE USES OF SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS
(Maximum funding and/or reimbursement amount of up to $1,000.00)

Scholarship funds will be provided upon confirmation of all recipient requirements prior to expiration of distribution deadlines.

1. Tuition costs for public schools provided major or minor is performing arts.
2. Tuition costs for private performing arts schools.
3. Reimbursement of books, materials, and supplies connected with training and education while enrolled in performing arts educational institutions.

Dance Scholarship Fundraiser

This is no recital – it’s a kick’n dance show!

Come see local Tracy talent performing a wide variety of dances. Two scholarships will be awarded for six-hundred dollars each!

Deadline Extended!

The deadline for submitting your application has been extended. You now have until October 23rd to get your application submitted, don’t miss out on your chance to win! A total of two scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $600 each which can be used for professional dance instruction. Winners will be announced during the ‘Show Us What You Got!’ dance show at Tracy’s Grand Theatre on Thursday, November 6, 2008.
