37th Annual Stockton Opera Guild Gala
The Opera Guild’s annual Gala is coming up Sunday March 25, 2012. We have a fantastic entertainer, Roberto Perlas Gomez, lined up who is sure to wow general music enthusiasts as well as committed Opera buffs. Roberto has performed in 6 Stockton Opera Productions and is a crowd favorite – he is charming, animated and his baritone voice is stellar!
This promises to be a wonderful evening with really special music and we want every single music lover that might want to come to know that the event is happening. I know these are tough times for arts organizations and all of us at the Guild appreciate your consideration.gala poster low res

Seasons – Gallery Reception
Andrea Rohe Anderson
Andrea has been active in the art world most of her life, as a student, a serious collector, as owner and manager of two art galleries, and as an artist and teacher.
She was fortunate to have excellent teachers in middle school and high school. An early marriage and family led her to the pursuit of a business administration degree. But through the years she has continued to study through art books, attending art shows and demonstrations, and continual experimentation. “Each painting I create is an experiment in new techniques from something I’ve seen or developed,” Ms. Anderson explains. She totally enjoys the discovery of new subjects and translating them into works that bring enjoyment to everyone.
Much of her work becomes Christmas cards, note cards, event invitations, announcements and prints. Custom originals are her specialty.
Andrea Rohe Anderson has lived in Tracy since 2004, where recently she met and married her husband, Norman Nielsen. Their blended family includes four sons, one daughter and five grandchildren.
The Tracy Performing Arts Foundation (TPAF) Playhouse will display “Seasons”, a collection of paintings by Andrea Rohe Anderson, during the month of March 2012. A reception will be hosted by the artist on Saturday, March 10th (1-4 p.m.) as the official opening of the show. Some of her paintings in the show are on loan from private collections, but all others on display are available for sale. Half of the proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation, for the cure of breast cancer and education. Note cards and prints will also be available for sale.
